Project Timothy – Kenya |
|
We have been made part of an unbroken chain. Paul
- Timothy - faithful pastors - others who are taught
the apostolic doctrine. This pattern of carefully passing
on the faithfully entrusted message is the heartbeat of the
Christian church and her mission. God, just on account of
the death of Jesus, puts sinners right with Himself – gives life to the dead – by grace alone through faith alone. This
is a message to be proclaimed!
From its inception the Christian church has sent teachers.
Well-trained pastors are critically needed in Kenya. The
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya has a mere 110
pastors to serve 450 congregations with 70,000 members. Project Timothy-Kenya is dedicated specifically to
providing a remedy for this crying need, equipping
leaders for the dramatically growing church in Africa. |

“You’ve heard my message, and it’s been confirmed
by many witnesses. Entrust this message to faithful
individuals who will be competent to teach others.”
2 Timothy 2:2 (GWTN - “God’s Word”)

Rev. Dr. Walter Obare

Lutheran Church in
Kenya. Bishop Obare
has been honored for
his courageous and
articulate defense of orthodox Christianity and confessional
Lutheranism both in Africa and in the heartlands of the Reformation. He has asked Rev. Thomas V. Aadland to
teach systematic theology at Matongo Lutheran Theological Seminary for at least a two-year period. Rev. Aadland
served as Presiding Pastor of The American Association
of Lutheran Churches from 1999 to 2007.

“My goal is to help strengthen the bold witness to Christ that
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenya is making in our
day in the face of a menacing and encroaching Islam and the
apostasy of the West,” says Pastor Aadland.
We invite you to join us and a growing list of supporters,
donors and contributors to this worthy effort, and we are
pleased to make this appeal on behalf of Project Timothy-
Kenya.
“Pray for us, and join me and our fellow redeemed in
Project Timothy. Together we can make a difference and impact Africa for Christ and His kingdom. God bless you
with much joy in Christ as you support this vital work!”
